OUR POLICY ON RETURNS
If an item you ordered from The Tackle Trap does not meet your expectations, you may return the unopened, unused item(s) within 14 days from the date of purchase. Upon receipt and inspection, the Tackle Trap may issue either store credit or a refund MINUS our shipping charges to you even if your item(s) qualified for free shipping. Please enclose a copy of your invoice, include your email address, phone number, and reason for the return. If you were sent a product that was incorrect or defective from the factory, we will issue a credit for applicable return shipping charges. Otherwise, return charges are at the expense of the purchaser. All returns may be subject to a 10% restocking fee. All rod returns will be refunded minus our actual shipping and handling cost plus a 10% restocking fee, no exceptions. We do not accept returns or exchanges on close out items, used gear, or special-order items.
Credits to your card will be issued once the item is received and restocked. Credits typically appear in one to two billing cycles. Store credit will be noted on your account at The Tackle Trap and available for use immediately.

You have 14 days to exchange any items purchased from The Tackle Trap. The item must be unopened, undamaged, and unused. The customer is responsible for return shipping to The Tackle Trap and the shipping to get the exchanged product back to you. Please ship the item(s) to us at the below address and include a copy of your invoice, email address, phone number, and instructions as to the exchange. All fishing rod returns and exchanges are subject to a 10% restocking fee, no exceptions. We do not accept returns or exchanges on close out items, used gear, or special-order items.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Very rarely will there be an exception on returnable items. Apparel that is laundered and/or without original tags. Discounted/Sale Apparel can also not be returned.
*All rod returns are subject to a 10% restock fee and the original shipping charge will be deducted from the refund.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
