Megabass founder Yuki Ito began hand-building custom rods over 40 years ago. His very first creation, ARMS, was a built-to-order, hand-carved and hand built rod for discerning anglers and collectors. These bespoke concept rods later inspired the birth of the DESTROYER line in 1997, and continue to serve as a dream works lab for Yuki Ito's game-changing innovations.
The Tackle Trap is proud to once again offer our customers the opportunity to acquire the legendary Megabass ARMS Super Leggera rods. Please review the following FAQs to familiarize yourself with all the details and requirements for ordering one of these exceptional rods.

- How long is the typical wait time for an ASL rod?
These rods are handcrafted to order based on your specifications through the Megabass TaylorMade Program. Due to high demand and limited component availability, delivery times may range from 6 to 24 months. - Can I change or cancel my order once it's been placed?
Unfortunately, due to the custom nature of the order, changes, cancellations, or refunds are not possible once the order is placed. - How do I pay for my ASL Rod order?
All ASL rod orders require full payment upfront at the time of order placement. Due to the limited availability of blanks and components, orders are finalized upon payment and cannot be changed or canceled. We then await notification from the shipping department regarding order fulfillment. - What is the warranty coverage for ASL rods?
ASL rods are covered by the Megabass of America warranty, just like any other new Megabass rod from The Tackle Trap. We understand that these are unique, handcrafted pieces, and warranty claims may require extra time. Please see the full warranty information for details HERE - Are there any ASL models with shorter lead times?
The availability of specific models and lead times can change frequently. Therefore, we cannot provide or guarantee a more precise lead time. However, some select models and configurations may be available within a 6 to 12-month timeframe. - How do I determine the correct hand orientation for a casting model?
You can use both left-handed (LH) and right-handed (RH) rods with either a right-handed or left-handed reel.
- Casting models:
If you reel with your right hand, order a left-handed model. If you reel with your left hand, order a right-handed model. This ensures the smooth side of the grip aligns comfortably with your reel hand.
- Spinning models:
The grip design is the same for both left-handed and right-handed configurations. - General Disclaimer
